Job summary

Techmer PM, LLC is seeking a Samples Technician for its Dalton, Georgia facility. The role is on the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) with starting pay of $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will operate extrusion and related equipment to produce plastic compounds for custom applications. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years manufacturing experience preferred and extrusion experience highly desired.

Qualifications

• Two years manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to lift 55 lbs frequently.
• Ability to learn plant equipment functionality.

Responsibilities

• Operate key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds.

We are currently seeking a Samples Technician for our Dalton, Georgia facility. This position will be on the 1st shift which is Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Job Purpose:

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Extrusion experience is highly desired.
• Ability to lift 55lbs. frequently.
• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
