Job summary

Techmer PM, LLC in Compton, CA is seeking a Samples Technician for our Rancho Dominguez facility. The 1st shift runs from 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and higher depending on experience.

You will operate extrusion and mixing equipment to produce plastic compounds, follow SOPs, monitor process data, and ensure high-quality output. Benefits include medical coverage from day one and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Samples Technician for our Rancho Dominguez, California Facility. This position will be on the 1st shift which is 4:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M, Monday through Thursday. Pay rate is $22.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Job Purpose:

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.

• Ability to lift 55lbs. frequently.
• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
