Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a Technician for the Sample Custody Department in Altamonte Springs, FL. The role requires strong organization, adherence to procedures, and the ability to handle heavy lifting in a fast-paced lab setting.

Responsibilities include receiving, logging, labeling, and delivering samples, managing temperatures per SOP, maintaining a clean workspace, and safe operation of equipment. English proficiency and authorization to work in the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

• Possesses physical strength to lift and move heavy boxes.
• Exhibits ability to use LIMS software competently.
• Possesses basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading incoming samples or consignments.
• Verifying that documents are accurate, complete, and correct and seeks resolution when not.
• Logging samples into Lab Management System daily to assign a lot number for tracking purposes.
• Labeling samples and assigning deliveries to appropriate departments for analysis daily.
• Disposing of spent samples, waste and hazardous materials per procedures.
• Monitoring freezer and cooler temperatures daily per SOP.
• Cleaning and organizing the department daily for a safe, efficient workflow.
• Maintaining and promoting safety in all operations.
• Stocking and supplying inventory daily and assisting with inventory of supplies.
• Performing splits and composites as needed on request.
• Preparing bottle kits.
• Shipping empty coolers back to clients and Eurofins labs.
• Conducting client interactions in a professional manner.
• Other duties as determined by local management.
