Job summary

Skyline Assayers & Laboratories in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sample Prep Technician to receive core, rock, or soil samples and prepare them by splitting, crushing, and pulverizing to produce a powder-size sample. The role involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs in a lab environment.

The position is on the 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 1:30 pm–10:00 pm, with voluntary OT on Saturdays. No experience is required as on-the-job training is provided, and the company offers a full benefits

** Sample Prep Technician** : This position receives core, rock ship, or soil samples. The samples are split, crushed, and pulverized to create a powder-size sample.

• 2nd shift, $17.25 +0.65 differential per hour
• * ** **M-F, 1:30p-10:00p, voluntary OT available on Saturdays****
• This labor-intensive position has prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Employees in this position are exposed to the powder dust and must wear a respirator and personal protective equipment provided by the company. [no beards.]
• Indoor/Outdoor work environment.
