Skyline Assayers & Laboratories in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Column Leach Technician for 1st shift (M-F, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.). You will run column leach tests and contribute to advancing mineral extraction processes in a lab setting.

Ideal candidates have experience in leach operations (mining env. preferred), a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. The role includes safety screenings and eligibility for full benefits after 30 days, with possible overtime on some Saturdays.

Description

Skylineoffers analytical services to the mining industry. When a mine wants to know whether its soil contains copper, gold, or silver, it sends us samples in the form of core or rock chips.

The Column Leach Technician will help run column leach tests and contribute to advancing mineral extraction processes.

• Experience in leach operations, preferably in a mining environment, is a PLUS

• M-F, 1stshift, 7a-3:30p, $18.25 hr, voluntary OT someSaturdays
• Theseroutine and non-routine positions include lab instrument testing and can involve prolonged standing, bending, or sitting. Attention to detail is a plus.

Employees in this position are exposed to chemicals and are required to wear personal protective equipment provided by the company.

About the Organization

Skyline started in Bisbee, AZ in the 1880's as Hawley and Hawley Assayers & Chemists. Among its first mining clients were the historic Copper Queen Mine, the Copper Glance mine, the Holbrook Mine, and many other mines developing in & around Bisbee, AZ at the end of the 19th century through the beginning of the 20th century. Hawley and Hawley Assayers was recognized as one of the leading base metal, umpire, and ore-grade laboratories in the Southwest with delivering more than 40 years' experience in the Copper Industry.

After going through a change in ownership, the name was changed to Skyline Assayers. Skyline continued that tradition of excellence in assaying for many decades under its new name.

As of January 1, 2006, the laboratory again became an independent business. Skyline Assayers & Laboratories is the registered trade name of Arizona Assayers Inc. Skyline is recognized as an industry leader for all types of base metal, ferrous and non-ferrous analysis including high quality ore-grade assays, sequential copper analyses of ores, and umpire assays of metallurgical products.
