Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sample Management Technician in Birmingham, AL for contract work. The role involves supporting Sample Management activities in a CRO-like lab, maintaining LIMS, preparing samples, and coordinating shipments. You will document data and ensure GLP compliance while working under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma with relevant experience or an associate/bachelor's degree, and proficiency with MS Office and LIMS. Onsite work with typical day shifts.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Experience in sample management or familiarity with GLP.
• Ability to work in CRO or contract research settings and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the Sample Management LIMS and resolve issues per SOPs.
• Collect data for management review using spreadsheets and basic statistical tools.
• Follow GLP, SOPs, and safety guidelines in all activities.
• Maintain sample inventories and databases; assist in labeling and disposition of samples.
• Coordinate shipment of research samples and assist in sample preparation tasks.
