Job summary

Consulting, Inc. in Cincinnati is seeking a detail-oriented Sample Management Technician to handle receipt, storage, and tracking of specimens and to enter data into the LIMS.

You will pull samples for shipping, help maintain CAP-compliant records, and support daily to annual equipment maintenance. An associate degree or technical certification is preferred; bachelor’s is a plus.

Candidates should have laboratory experience and strong communication, able to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and accurate interpretation of client chain of custody data into LIMS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing schedules.
• Experience in a laboratory environment and regulated quality setting preferred.
• Familiarity with GXP and PBMC processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform receipt, handling, storage, retrieval, disposition and tracking of samples.
• Enter associated sample data into the LIMS and ensure accuracy.
• Pull required samples for organization and shipping of samples and/or kitting materials.
• Maintain knowledge of CAP compliance requirements.
• Collect, file, and review supporting documentation (maintenance records, SOPs, training records, deviations).
• Perform ongoing daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual equipment maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pull required samples for organization and shipping of samples and/or kitting materials
• Work to maintain knowledge of compliance to ensure compliance with CAP requirements
• Collect, file, and review supporting documentation including, but not limited to, maintenance records, SOPs, training records, deviations, etc.
• Perform ongoing daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual equipment maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
