Job summary

York Building Products, a family-owned builder materials company, seeks an energetic Sample Distribution Coordinator to move architectural samples and support the sales team. The role involves handling block samples, labeling, packing, and shipping, with required forklift operation and attention to accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in the masonry or building materials industry.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work overtime during busy seasons.

Responsibilities

• Assemble architectural block and WorkRite sample kits for the sales team.
• Cut masonry block, prepare face shells, and create sample pieces.
• Clean, label, and package samples with attention to detail.
• Ship samples and plant materials via UPS.
• Communicate with customers to ensure accurate shipments.
• Track outgoing samples and maintain inventory records.
• Operate forklifts and wheel loaders (training/certification provided).
• Assist Quality Control in the plant or at customer sites.
• Support the team wherever needed to ensure success.

Work Environment

• Safely lifting up to 90 pounds.
• Operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
