Job summary

York Building Products is seeking a hands-on Sample Distribution Coordinator to keep our architectural samples moving and our customers impressed. If you enjoy variety, working with your hands, and delivering quality work, this could be the perfect fit.

You will assemble sample kits, cut blocks, clean and label items, and manage shipments while maintaining organized inventory. The role requires forklift certification and ability to work overtime during busy seasons.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in masonry or building materials.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work overtime during busy seasons.

Responsibilities

• Assemble architectural block and WorkRite sample kits for the sales team.
• Cut masonry block, prepare face shells, and create sample pieces.
• Clean, label, and package samples with attention to detail.
• Ship samples and plant materials via UPS.
• Communicate with customers to ensure shipments meet expectations.
• Track outgoing samples and maintain inventory records.
• Operate forklifts and wheel loaders as needed (training/certification required).
• Assist Quality Control team in the plant or at customer sites.
• Jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed.

What We're Looking For

You're someone who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in a job well done.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on role that keeps you moving.

You'll work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather while safely operating equipment and handling building materials. Safety is always our top priority.

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and standing throughout the day.
• Safely lifting up to 90 pounds.
• Operating forklifts and other heavy equipment.
