Eurofins USA is seeking a Sample Control Lead in Earth City, MO to manage daily operations of the Sample Control department and lead a team in receiving, logging, storing, and dispositioning client samples. Responsibilities include coordinating bottle kits, ensuring chain-of-custody, and maintaining LIMS records.

You will drive regulatory compliance, support audits and EH&S initiatives, and mentor staff toward performance excellence in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree in Chemistry/Environmental Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading teams while performing day-to-day operational responsibilities in a production or laboratory environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and ensure compliance; foster engagement and accountability.
• Strong communication skills; relate well to others in direct communication.
• Detail oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficient computer skills; LIMs experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math; work independently and under time constraints.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally; overtime as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; fluent English.

Responsabilités

• Oversee receipt, verification, login, and tracking of samples in LIMS to ensure timely processing.
• Ensure proper labeling and chain-of-custody throughout the workflow.
• Coordinate distribution of samples to staff to support operations and turnaround goals.
• Oversee preparation and distribution of sample containers and bottle kits.
• Manage sample storage and disposal per regulatory requirements and holding times.
• Coordinate shipment of subcontracted samples and ensure documentation.
• Monitor departmental inventory and budget documentation; order supplies as needed.
• Communicate department performance metrics to laboratory leadership.
• Participate in audits, EH&S programs, and quality initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, assign work, and coach staff.
• Support training coordination and performance evaluations.
• Maintain processes to monitor holding times and regulatory commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and data quality.
