Job summary

CLGT Solutions, LLC dba CLOVEHITCH is seeking qualified on-site Samoan interpreters to provide in-person interpretation across the Hawaiian Islands. This is an independent contractor (1099) position with work at various client sites across Oahu, Maui, Hawaii Island, and Kauai.

Requirements include ILR 2+ in English and Samoan, prior interpretation in health/legal/social services, adherence to ethics and confidentiality, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have working proficiency (ILR 2+) in English and target language, including health/legal vocabularies.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret accurately in professional settings.
• Prior in-person interpretation in government, healthcare, legal, or social services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, impartial in-person interpretation between client staff and LEP clients.
• Interpret in first person, relay all content without editing or omitting information.
• Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
