Job summary

Lowes Foods in Columbia, SC is seeking a friendly deli associate to provide outstanding guest service, greet guests, and assist with deli duties, product preparation, and sampling.

You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, maintain quality and sanitation, communicate guest requests to management, and help keep displays clean, well stocked, and pricing accurate throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Perform assigned duties in what can be a fast paced work environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to explain Product available in specific area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Actively provide samples to guests and explain offering as needed.
• Efficiently prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing and cooking).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness according to station guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management and/or satisfy request in a timely manner.
• Communicate temperature and/or product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply and work area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standard.
• Performs front end duties to insure "no noticeable wait" standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
