Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for Pre-Op, Phase II Recovery and Same Day Surgical Services. This PRN role offers meaningful patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment and opportunities to influence outcomes through collaboration with managers and hospital councils.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care, instruct patients and families, maintain records, and administer medications per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse licensure or compact license with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong reading and following written/verbal instructions; good PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Pre-Op and Phase II Recovery patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
