Job summary

HCHcares in Indiana is seeking a same-hospital, registered nurse to assess patient status and provide comprehensive care. You will administer medications, observe and document patient responses, and communicate urgent changes to supervisors and physicians.

The role requires Indiana RN licensure and a nursing degree, with cross-training in Ambulatory Care, OR, or PACU as needed. A rotating call schedule and full-time hours support a balanced work-life approach.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of pathophysiology and the nursing process.
• Knowledge of nursing interventions and pharmacology.
• Experience delivering nursing care and managing patients and personnel.
• Surgery nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the status of all patients and implement appropriate nursing care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing procedures.
• Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions and notify supervisor, anesthesiology, or physician of significant incidents.
• Assess patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine patient progress.
• Cross-trained to assist in Ambulatory Care, OR, or PACU whenever necessary.
• Participate in call rotation.
