Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers seeks a part-time Material Handler I to support movement, sorting, and handling of donated materials within our processing plant. You will transport, load, and organize raw donations, salvage commodities, equipment, and other items according to Kaizen guidelines.

This fast-paced role requires operating equipment as trained and upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years in warehouse operations.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience loading large freight containers and trucks.
• MS Office (Excel/Word) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, and unload donated materials and equipment to designated locations.
• Follow Kaizen guidelines and 5-minute drills to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in salvage sorting and cross-train for other plant roles.
• Provide courteous service to stores, admins, vendors, and donors while keeping a safe, organized environment.
