Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of North Louisiana is seeking Salvage Team Members to support salvage and recycling operations in Shreveport, LA. The role involves sorting, palletizing, staging, and preparing materials for recycling or outlet distribution.

The position reports to the Distribution Manager/Distribution Assistant Manager and requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operation of pallet jacks and warehouse equipment, and adherence to safety procedures in a busy distribution center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Production, processing or warehouse experience desirable.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Sorts donated goods designated for salvage or recycling according to agency guidelines.
• Palletizes, stages, and prepares salvage materials for recycling or shipment.
• Maintains organized warehouse zones for salvage materials, supplies, and outbound shipments.
• Rotates materials and product inventory according to operational procedures.
• Safely operates warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, ladders, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as assigned.
• Assists with loading and unloading salvage shipments and transportation vehicles.
• Assists with staging and movement of materials to support efficient warehouse workflow and transportation operations.
• Completes required documentation related to salvage processing and warehouse activities.
