Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee seeks a Warehouse Associate for Berry Rd Salvage. The role involves warehouse, salvage, and recycling tasks; you may load/unload trailers, label and wrap shipments, and assist with material handling of textiles, hard goods, and furniture.

You will sort products for salvage or recycling, weigh containers, and keep salvage records. A month-long ramp-up is expected; a clean, safe work area is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and to work as a team member.
• Must have the ability to lift or carry loads weighing over 50 pounds continuously.
• Must be able to learn the techniques of the job from short demonstration up to and including one month.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers as directed.
• Label and wrap product shipments.
• Assist with material handling of textiles, hard goods, and furniture.
• Sort product into Salvage or Recycling categories.
• Weigh containers and maintain documentation of processed salvage materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
