Qualifications

• 8+ years of state income tax compliance experience for corporations, partnerships, or pass-through entities.
• CPA, JD/LLM, EA or MTX or approved credentials; must obtain at least one within 1 year of hire.
• Experience serving public companies and knowledge of state tax concepts.
• Ability to build internal and client relationships in a high-energy team environment.
• Mentor and counsel staff; strong writing, compliance, and tax skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-state companies on state and local income tax compliance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share industry knowledge.
• Review estimated state income and franchise tax payments pre-, during, and post-preparation.
• Build and manage client relationships and supervise staff development.
• Monitor engagement risk, billing, collections, and budgets.
• Identify opportunities to grow the KPMG tax practice with clients and teams.
