Job summary

Plante Moran in Denver is seeking a tax professional to help instill confidence in organizations of all sizes by ensuring their financial health. You’ll provide state and local tax consulting, prepare returns, and draft alerts and memos to address current developments and planning techniques.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting (or a master’s in accounting or tax) and pursuing a CPA, JD, or LLM. You’ll collaborate across teams and client groups, travel as needed, and grow in a culture

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; or Master’s in accounting or tax.
• Academic success with GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Must be pursuing a LLM, JD, or CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Providing tax consulting services for state and local taxes (income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, personal property).
• Preparing state and local income and franchise tax returns.
• Writing internal and external tax alerts on developments and planning techniques.
• Researching complex tax issues and writing technical memoranda.
• Developing interactions with staff at all levels and with clients.
• Deepen knowledge in state/local and federal tax.
