Sun Tan City is seeking a Salon Director in Training to lead the management team and drive store performance. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, model exceptional service, and help achieve sales and productivity goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coach staff while maintaining a clean, client-focused salon. Evening and weekend availability is required, with a 5‑day workweek and 35–45 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple situations.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership with coaching/mentoring ability.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in client-centric service and selling.
• Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
• Set goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, assist with Salon Director functions.
• Help control top-line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain staffing levels for productivity and service quality.
• Ability to work nights and weekends; 5-day week, 35–45 hours.
