Job summary

Sun Tan City, part of Glow Brands, is seeking a Salon Director to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional client experiences across our Smyrna salon. The role emphasizes staffing decisions, training, performance management, and maintaining a high standard of service and salon safety.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, sales and operations knowledge, with the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and coach a team to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations.
• Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and mentor; supervisory practices.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Maintains calm demeanor during high volume periods.
• Demonstrates a client-first attitude and holds team members accountable for quality service.
• Drives company metrics by developing action plans and guiding the salon team.
• Manages staffing, scheduling and payroll compliance.
• Keeps salon clean, maintained, and safe; ensures compliance with wage laws.
• Works a 5-day, 40-hour workweek with rotating shifts as required.
