Job summary

Sun Tan City in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a Salon Director in Training to drive store performance and deliver exceptional client experiences. You will supervise tanning consultants, lead by example, and focus on operations that meet productivity goals.

The role emphasizes teamwork, coaching, and strategic staffing to maximize revenue while maintaining a welcoming environment for clients.

Qualifications

• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple situations.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Team building skills.
• Prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon.
• Lead by example to create a client-centric experience and meet personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members’ daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain proper staffing levels to maximize productivity and service quality while controlling labor costs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to work a 5-day workweek with approximately 35 to 45 hours per week.
