Job Opportunity: Salon Director

The Salon Director position will start as part-time, with potential to expand to full-time as revenue grows. This is an excellent opportunity to manage your own salon without overhead concerns. Our state-of-the-art salon is designed to impress a discerning clientele. We are part of a luxury independent and assisted living community featuring nearly 200 apartments, multiple on-site restaurants, and a hospitality-centric culture reminiscent of top resort standards.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform all scheduled salon-spa services professionally, in accordance with state and local regulations.
2. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment to meet resident needs and retail goals.
3. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the Beauty Shop area per standards.
4. Foster positive resident relations and uphold the Resident-Guest Experience.
5. Restock shelves and supplies daily.
6. Work safely and alertly, taking ownership of safety for yourself, staff, and residents.
7. Disclose any medications that might impair your ability to perform your duties safely.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Promote teamwork and uphold company philosophy and service standards.
• Attend community meetings and resident councils.
• Lead by example, demonstrating CORE Values through servant leadership.
• Complete required training courses as per HRA guidelines.
• Maintain punctuality and perform duties reliably.
• Understand how to report missing persons via the Safe Return program or similar.
• Be familiar with fire evacuation procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment for all residents.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• Possess a valid state-issued cosmetologist license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Cosmetologist degree from an accredited institution.
• 2-4 years of experience in salon and spa services.
• Knowledge of chemical effects on senior citizens' health.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
