Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is seeking a skilled Smoked Salmon Cutter to join our busy market. You will expertly slice salmon to customer specifications while upholding quality, presentation, and safety standards.

The role blends hands-on craftsmanship with strong customer interaction, ensuring every guest enjoys a superior shopping experience and is guided by our commitment to fresh, high-quality seafood and service.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience with seafood cutting and filleting.
Strong knife-handling skills with raw and smoked fish.
Excellent communication and customer service.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet and engage customers warmly, providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
Slice smoked salmon to exact thickness and portion requirements per customer requests.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
Properly handle, label, and store smoked salmon products to ensure freshness and safety.
Monitor product rotation and manage inventory to minimize waste.
Answer customer questions and recommend related products or specialty items.
Assist with general deli operations, including restocking, cleaning, and team support.
Follow all company health, safety, and sanitation policies.
