Job summary

Volkswagen of Fallston, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, seeks an Automotive Sales Associate to help customers explore models, answer questions, and deliver a positive buying experience. You will be part of a Fortune 500 company with extensive resources and support to grow professionally.

In this full-time role, you will drive test drives, present options, assist with financing, and pursue sales targets while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to understand needs and recommend suitable vehicles.
• Conduct test drives to showcase features.
• Stay up-to-date on model features, specifications, and pricing.
• Guide customers through the sales process, financing options, and trade-ins.
• Negotiate and finalize sales agreements in a transparent and customer-friendly manner.
• Follow up after the sale to ensure satisfaction and referrals.
• Build and maintain relationships for repeat business.
• Collaborate with sales team and departments for a seamless experience.
• Participate in sales meetings and training to enhance product knowledge and skills.

Compensation (Draw / Commission):

• OTE (On-Target-Earnings): $60,000 - $100,000+ / year

Schedule:

• FULL TIME
• 5 days a week / 2 days off
• Weekend availability required
• Sales Floor Hours:
  • Monday - Friday 9 am to 8 pm
  • Saturday 9 am to 7 pm

Job Description

As an Automotive Sales Associate, you will play a key role in assisting customers with their vehicle purchase, providing information about available models, and ensuring a positive buying experience. Your enthusiasm for automobiles and excellent communication skills will contribute to the success of our sales department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand customers' needs and preferences to recommend suitable vehicles.
• Conduct test drives to showcase features and performance.
• Stay up-to-date on the features, specifications, and pricing of all available vehicle models to provide accurate and detailed information about vehicles to customers.
• Guide customers through the sales process, including vehicle selection, financing options, and trade-ins.
• Negotiate and finalize sales agreements in a transparent and customer-friendly manner.
• Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers for potential repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with other sales team members and departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets.
• Utilize effective sales techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
