Entry‑level positions supporting the DIY business at Advance Auto Parts. The roles require knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and parts knowledge, and the ability to source, inventory, and deliver parts. Positions may be part‑time or full‑time; fleet safety certification is preferred.

Salesperson

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock

Physical Demands

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Tasks require talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While usually inside the store, the employee may spend time outside or in varying weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration is possible. Noise levels are usually moderate.
