Salesperson – Advance Auto Parts
Entry level sales position supporting the DIY business and achieving sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and part knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. Position can be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers during store visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales objectives.
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper blade installs, etc.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.

- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Store Driver – Advance Auto Parts
Entry level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers. Must be fleet safety certified.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
- Daily collection of credit accounts.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
Driver Success Factors
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use delivery board system.

- Automotive parts experience preferred.
- Certificates, licenses, registrations.
- Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required.
Physical Demands
Walking or standing; talk and hear; hand and finger reach; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Inside or outside and exposed to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
