Job summary

Sonic Automotive is seeking a Desking Salesperson at one of its Sonic Automotive family dealerships. You will assist customers with vehicle purchases, provide model information, and ensure a positive buying experience.

You will greet customers, conduct test drives, explain financing options, and guide them through the sales process while aiming to meet individual and team sales targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA; able to pass pre-employment checks (background, MVR, drug test).
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to understand needs and suggest suitable vehicles.
• Conduct test drives to showcase features and performance.
• Stay updated on features, specs, and pricing of all models.
• Guide customers through sales process, financing options, and trade-ins.
• Negotiate and finalize sales agreements transparently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand customers' needs and preferences to recommend suitable vehicles.
• Conduct test drives to showcase features and performance.
• Stay up-to-date on the features, specifications, and pricing of all available vehicle models to provide accurate and detailed information about vehicles to customers.
• Guide customers through the sales process, including vehicle selection, financing options, and trade-ins.
• Negotiate and finalize sales agreements in a transparent and customer-friendly manner.
• Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers for potential repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with other sales team members and departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets.
• Utilize effective sales techniques to maximize sales opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (Spanish speaker)
• Previous experience in automotive sales.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Compensation (Hourly / Commission):

• OTE (On-Target-Earnings): $60,000 - $120,000+ a year
