Job summary

Hacienda Home Centers in Las Vegas, NM is seeking a friendly Salesperson to greet customers, understand preferences, and guide selections of home goods. You will demonstrate merchandise, answer questions, and process transactions while keeping shelves neat and properly labeled.

Ideal candidates have outstanding customer service, strong communication, product knowledge, and the ability to anticipate and meet shoppers’ needs with accurate recommendations and efficient POS use.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills and active listening skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
• Ability to anticipate customer’s needs.
• Ability to recommend merchandise to customer.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
• Ensures sales areas are kept neat, clean, dusted, and in the correct place.
• Ensures merchandise has proper tags and labeling.
• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations, and places special orders.
• Ensures back stock is kept neat and orderly, checked, and stocked daily.
• Maintains end caps and rotates end cap merchandise regularly.
• Processes returns and exchanges.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
