Job summary

The Timberline Group in St. Louis is seeking a Software Engineer - Salesforce to join our IT team and help develop and support Salesforce CRM solutions. You will work with business analysts and solution architects to translate requirements into robust applications.

You will review requirements, document designs, perform unit testing, and ensure performance and scalability. Travel may be required, and some off-hours support could be needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in programming and IT Applications Development.
• 2+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Salesforce technologies: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Apex Triggers, SOQL, Data Loader, Flows, and Reporting.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I preferred; Platform Developer II or additional certs a plus.
• REST API integrations experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or Python.
• Strong coding and design principles, version control, testing, and documentation.
• Middleware and low/no code experience preferred.
• Ability to work well with business and project teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with 3rd party apps (SQL Server, Jitterbit Harmony, Jitterbit App Builder, Propel) and ERP apps (JD Edwards, Oracle, Hyperion) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze business requirements and develop solutions using standard programming languages and tools that enhance operations.
• Document requirements, technical designs, and specifications.
• Perform unit testing to ensure applications function correctly.
• Ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities.
• Collaborate with consultants, implementation managers, and client IT resources to develop, test, implement products and resolve issues.
• Communicate with end users and internal customers to guide development, debugging, and testing for accuracy and interoperability.
• Adhere to development standards for new and existing software, including packages and in-house apps.
• Communicate with vendors for basic support and troubleshooting.
• Develop an understanding of major business activities of the company.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Support during non-working hours may be required.
