Job summary

Southpoint Consulting, Inc. seeks a Salesforce Project Manager to lead planning and delivery of Salesforce initiatives within an Agile federal IT program. The role emphasizes turning customer requirements into effective tech solutions and managing execution across teams in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure quality deliverables with strong communication and leadership across multiple business lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification required.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with software development projects; SDLC knowledge; Agile/DevOps or Scrum.
• Advanced knowledge of JIRA.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Job Description Salesforce Project Manager

What You Will Get to: This Salesforce Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of Salesforce initiatives, ensuring customer requirements are translated into effective technology solutions. The role focuses on managing project execution, coordinating teams, mitigating risks, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships within an Agile environment. This position supports federal IT programs and is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist business analysts in soliciting customer business requirements to meet the end users' needs, with proven ability to conduct one-on-one, small and large group interviews on technology and system concepts.
• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Lead project execution with a strong emphasis on follow-through and completion, ensuring all workstreams are tracked, advanced, and fully delivered.
• Manages resources and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Conducts quality assurance for all deliverables prepared by the team prior to client submission.
• Applies agile project methodologies and enforces project standards.
• Identifies and manages project risk.
• Prepare team status reports per customer reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage customer relations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5years of project management experience.
• 5years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements.
• Proven experience with formal project management practices, problem management, and change control.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification required.
• Proficient experience working with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing software development projects; knowledge of software development life cycles and methodologies including DevOps or agile delivery models, Scrum methodology.
• Advanced knowledge of JIRA.
• Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail with the ability to proactively manage tasks and operate independently as a self-starter in a multi-customer, multi-business-line environment.
• Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Work on-site at the client site as needed in the Washington, DC area (hybrid position).
• US Citizenship required.

Desired Qualifications

• Salesforce Service Cloud certification and experience.
• Salesforce Public Sector Solutions experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Compensation is based on factors including geographic location, education, experience, skills, internal equity, and contract-specific requirements.
• The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000-$145,000/year.
• This range represents the anticipated base salary and is one component of Southpoint Consulting's total compensation package.
