We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong Salesforce expertise to support a major CRM transformation within a Life Sciences business unit.
This individual will lead a Salesforce Sales Cloud workstream focused on migrating the organization from SugarCRM to Salesforce and establishing the processes, workflows, and capabilities needed to manage the sales lifecycle within Salesforce.
The project will center heavily around Sales and Opportunity Management, including how opportunities progress through the sales cycle, how sales teams manage customer and prospect information, and how the organization transitions existing CRM processes and data into Salesforce.
The Project Manager will work closely with Sales stakeholders, Salesforce technical teams, the implementation partner, and a parallel Salesforce Service workstream. This individual will report directly to the program leader and partner closely with other Salesforce Project Managers to maintain alignment across the broader CRM transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, communication, risk management, and delivery for the Salesforce Sales Cloud implementation and CRM migration.
- Manage the transition from SugarCRM to Salesforce, helping coordinate business process definition, requirements, data migration activities, testing, deployment, and adoption.
- Partner with Sales stakeholders to define and document the future-state sales lifecycle and opportunity management process within Salesforce.
- Coordinate requirements and decisions related to Salesforce Sales functionality, including:
- Lead and prospect management
- Account and Contact management
- Opportunity creation and management
- Opportunity stages and sales processes
- Sales pipeline visibility and reporting
- Sales activities and customer interactions
- Opportunity progression through the sales cycle
- Forecasting and sales performance visibility
- Facilitate conversations between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams to translate business requirements into clear project priorities and deliverables.
- Coordinate closely with the Salesforce Service workstream to identify dependencies and ensure alignment across shared customer, account, contact, and CRM processes.
- Partner with the external Salesforce implementation partner to manage deliverables, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
- Define and manage the project lifecycle from implementation through testing, deployment, and post-production hypercare.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple business groups within the Life Sciences organization.
- Manage project risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, milestones, and executive-level communications.
- Support business readiness, user adoption, and change management as teams transition away from SugarCRM and begin operating within Salesforce.
- Identify roadblocks and proactively drive resolution to keep the project on schedule.
- Partner closely with other Salesforce Project Managers supporting related Sales and Service initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager leading Salesforce implementations, CRM transformations, or enterprise Salesforce initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and the Salesforce CRM ecosystem.
- Experience managing projects involving Salesforce Opportunity Management and sales lifecycle processes.
- Experience supporting or leading a CRM implementation or migration, preferably involving migration from a legacy CRM platform into Salesforce.
- Understanding of Salesforce concepts and processes involving Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, opportunity stages, sales pipelines, and related sales workflows.
- Ability to effectively communicate Salesforce concepts, dependencies, and business impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams that include business stakeholders, Salesforce developers/architects, data teams, QA, and implementation partners.
- Strong project planning, dependency management, risk management, and issue-resolution capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple business groups and manage competing priorities.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a SugarCRM-to-Salesforce migration or similar legacy CRM transformation.
- Experience supporting Salesforce implementations within Life Sciences, healthcare, medical device, or another regulated industry.
- Experience working with large consulting or systems integration partners on enterprise Salesforce implementations.
- Knowledge of CRM data migration, including mapping legacy customer, account, contact, lead, activity, and opportunity data into Salesforce.
- Experience supporting Salesforce testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Experience working across interconnected Sales and Service Salesforce workstreams.
- Familiarity with SAFe or other scaled Agile delivery models.
The projected hourly range for this position is $56 to $78.
