Responsibilities
This role focuses on product strategy, Agile development leadership, and deep technical knowledge of the Salesforce platform. It acts as a bridge between the SBIR/STTR program's operational needs and the technical team, requiring an understanding of the program's lifecycle to guide platform evolution. Expertise in Salesforce integrations and user experience design is critical. The primary value driver is combining product management skills with Salesforce proficiency.
Your essential job functions include:
- Product Lead
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define, own, and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Salesforce-based SBIR/STTR Execution Platform, aligning with program goals, user needs, and DoD requirements.
- Articulate the product vision, present roadmaps, negotiate priorities, and update stakeholders from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Backlog Management & Prioritization: Collaborate with the Salesforce team to develop, manage, and prioritize the product backlog, translating business needs into actionable user stories and features based on value and feasibility.
- Agile Development Oversight: Support the Salesforce project lead in communicating delivery timelines and quality to leadership.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the main liaison between program managers, users, leadership, and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and feedback gathering.
- User Experience & Adoption: Champion user needs, optimize experience, and promote platform adoption through training and continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define KPIs, track metrics, report progress, and support data-driven decisions.
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist in data collection and reporting for program compliance and performance to external stakeholders like SBA and Congress.
- Develop training materials, knowledge bases, and end-user training to increase Salesforce adoption.
- Develop change management strategies aligned with AFWERX processes.
- Manage Salesforce environment components including asset management, case management, SBIR/STTR, and Spark Refinery.
- Develop sprints, plans, and IT roadmaps.
- Translate program requirements into strategic inputs for higher-level planning.
Qualifications
Preferred/Desired Experience:
- 5-10 years related experience in product/program management with Salesforce, especially Experience Cloud, case management, and CRM.
- Knowledge of Product Management and Agile methodologies.
- Business analysis skills, technical acumen, leadership, and communication skills.
- User-centric design, workflow automation, data management, and integration experience.
- Change management and SBIR/STTR familiarity.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- No specific certification required.
Clearance Requirements
- Active SECRET clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Additional Notes
- In-person work expected, with some remote flexibility; travel may be required.
The pay range in California is $125,000 to $150,000/year; in Colorado, $125,000 to $150,000/year. Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other factors. Apply via MTSI's careers site.
