What You Will Do
The Salesforce Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the Office of Information Services, overseeing the governance, stability, and operational excellence of the Salesforce Government Cloud Plus (GovCloud ) platform that supports mission‑critical services across ODJFS. This role is ideal for an experienced Salesforce platform leader who excels in coordinating complex administrative environments, guiding high‑performing teams, and ensuring secure, scalable solutions that meet the needs of a rapidly expanding portfolio of agency applications.
In this role, you will lead the team responsible for administering and supporting multiple Salesforce applications, internal systems, and community portals used by a broad array of business partners. You will ensure platform stability, compliance with state and federal security requirements, and high‑quality service delivery while managing licensing, vendor relationships, release readiness, and ongoing operational improvements across GovCloud . Your leadership will drive the standardization, security, and evolution of the Salesforce ecosystem to support both current workloads and future enterprise growth.
You will oversee daily platform operations, guide governance decisions, manage staff performance, and collaborate with business units and technology partners to align Salesforce solutions with organizational needs. This position blends operational oversight with strategic direction, offering the opportunity to mature an enterprise Salesforce environment while elevating team capabilities and platform reliability.

Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Location:This position will be headquartered in an ODJFS Facility in one of the following cities – Columbus, Akron, or Dayton. This determination will take into account the proximity to the applicant’s home address.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 16. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $48.93 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
