Vacatia is hiring an Engineering Manager, Salesforce to lead a critical Salesforce platform team in Portland, OR or remotely within the United States. You’ll manage engineers and administrators, set technical direction, and partner with business leaders to deliver scalable Salesforce solutions.

This hands-on leadership role blends architecture, delivery, and people development, with a focus on reliability and strong engineering practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on development.
• 4+ years leading Salesforce engineering teams.
• Deep Salesforce expertise across Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, security and sharing, governor limits, data model.
• Strong Salesforce DevOps experience: SFDX, Git, CI/CD, sandbox strategy, automated testing.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Salesforce engineers and admins through coaching, performance management, hiring, onboarding.
• Prioritize work with the Platform Operations Manager and Salesforce Technical Architect to deliver predictable outcomes.
• Remain hands-on by contributing to approximately 25% of a normal engineering cycle.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex needs into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Help improve platform reliability, reduce technical debt, and strengthen engineering practices across the team.
• Serve as an escalation point for incidents and support blameless postmortems and continuous improvement.
• Ensure work is appropriately captured, prioritized, and visible across the team.
