Job summary

Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a Middleware Analyst (Infrastructure Specialist 1) to support the Ohio Medicaid Enterprise System (OMES). You will work on data validation, conversion and reporting, using Integration Middleware and EDI, to improve transaction flow across systems in Columbus.

The role requires IT expertise, systems analysis, and the ability to provide technical guidance to helpdesk teams.

Qualifications

  • 36 mos. combined work experience in installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. in the primary technology
  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems with 18 mos. combined experience including 12 mos. in primary technology
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems with 12 mos. combined experience including 12 mos. in primary technology
  • Equivalents of minimum qualifications as noted in the official position description

Responsibilities

  • assisting in the operations and maintenance of a best-in-class data validation, conversion, and reporting solution to support the OMES
  • providing technical advice and direction to external helpdesk support on data integrity issues
  • reviewing existing summary reports of data flow
  • generating new reports on the contents of singular files using basic scripting language (e.g. Excel, Tableau)

What You Will Do at ODM:

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an IT professional familiar with middleware applications, ideally with knowledge of data conversations via electronic data interchange (EDI). As part of ODM’s effort to modernize the Ohio Medicaid Enterprise System (OMES), the agency has streamlined its transaction process flow. Trading partners facilitating electronic claims reimbursement for Ohio Medicaid providers now exchange all transactions through a single connection which is then distributed across multiple systems. As an Middleware Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • assisting in the operations and maintenance of a best-in-class data validation, conversion, and reporting solution to support the OMES.
  • providing technical advice and direction to external helpdesk support on data integrity issues.
  • reviewing existing summary reports of data flow
  • generating new reports on the contents of singular files using basic scripting language of choice (e.g. basic Excel, Tableau)

Supplemental Information

The Ohio Department of Medicaid does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship.

On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Required to carry a cellular phone as assigned. Required to work occasional overtime as assigned.
