Posting Summary

Rutgers University is seeking a Salesforce Developer for the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to a Project Manager/Associate Director for Enterprise Application Services, the role involves providing analytical and programming support for Enrollment Management and other administrative and academic offices. The developer will serve as one of the platform developers for the enterprise Salesforce.com environment.

The key duties include:

• Developing solutions within Salesforce or CRM platforms to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborating with project managers, analysts, and developers to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions including dashboards, interfaces, and integrations.
• Assisting with system upgrades and testing affected workflows.
• Supporting administrative, development, and change management processes.
• Training new users and expanding Salesforce skills across the organization.
• Defining and documenting development requirements with user community input.
• Evaluating and completing new development requests.
• Adhering to Rutgers' compliance standards.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

• Salary Range: Up to $131,108, with minimum $91,262 and mid-range $110,078

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• At least 2 years of relevant system development experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Intermediate skills in building custom apps, objects, formula fields, workflows, views, etc.
• Programming with SQL, SFDC toolkit, VisualForce, Apex.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs.
• Ability to assess impact of requirements on systems.
• Strong deadline management and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CSS, Java, JavaScript, DHTML, HTML, XML, AJAX, jQuery experience.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Salesforce Platform Developer 1 certification.
