Lead Salesforce Developer – Contract | Charlotte, NC: W2 ONLY***

We are seeking a Lead Salesforce Developer with 7–10 years of Salesforce development experience to join an Agile team within a Commercial Credit Technology organization. This role will contribute to current business objectives prioritized through PI Planning and will provide technical leadership across Salesforce development, integrations, design, testing, and releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on Salesforce development skills, experience leading development efforts on enterprise implementations, and strong communication skills. The ability to work independently with minimal oversight and effectively collaborate with both onsite and offshore teams is important.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Lead Developer within an Agile Salesforce development team.
• Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Triggers, Batch Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce administration.
• Contribute to large‑scale enterprise Salesforce implementations, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Design and support integrations using MuleSoft/Mule ESB, ETL, Web Services, and APIs.
• Apply Salesforce development best practices and design solutions with consideration for governor limits, scalability, and maintainability.
• Perform technical design and participate in code reviews.
• Provide story point estimation and contribute to technical planning.
• Build, maintain, and execute automated test suites and support automation testing activities.
• Support enterprise Salesforce deployment and release management using Metadata API.
• Support production releases, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in weekend/on‑call support as needed.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, developers, and other technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Work effectively within Agile/SAFe Agile environments, including collaboration with onsite and offshore teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.

Required Qualifications

• 7–10 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a Lead Developer on prior Salesforce projects.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Apex, Triggers, Batch Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce administration.
• Experience with MuleSoft/Mule ESB and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with Salesforce Web Services/API integrations.
• Experience with large‑scale Salesforce implementations, particularly Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and governor limits.
• Experience with technical design, code reviews, and story point estimation.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites.
• Experience with enterprise Salesforce deployment and release management, including Metadata API.
• Experience supporting production releases and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight or direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial Services or Banking industry experience.
• Salesforce certification, with Platform Developer I (PD1) preferred.
• Credit underwriting technology experience.
• Informatica/ETL experience.
• Chatter API and advanced Visualforce component experience.
• RDBMS/database knowledge.
• Experience with Selenium or similar automation tools.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
