Salesforce AdministratorDepartment / Supervisor: Business Systems [86] / Director, Customer Information SystemsFLSA Status: ExemptPurpose of PositionThe Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, training and on-going support of the Salesforce platform. This position will work closely with the Director, Customer Information Systems and internal stakeholders to implement system enhancements and help to ensure that data quality is maintained. They will serve as support for complex issues reported by staff. In addition, they will also help support third-party systems used by AdvaMed.Essential Duties of PositionServes as the primary administrator of the Salesforce platform, including user management, custom objects, fields, validation rules, flows, page layouts, and related configurationsImplements approved Salesforce enhancements, updates, and system improvementsAnalyzes, develops, and maintains reports, dashboards, and data solutions using Salesforce and other organizational data sourcesPerforms ongoing monitoring of data quality, integrity, and consistency within Salesforce and related systemsSupports integrations, applications, websites, Experience Cloud sites, and business processes that interact with Salesforce and related platformsCoordinates requirements, documents integration needs, and participates in the design, implementation, testing, and support of data integrationsResearches and evaluates Salesforce releases and recommends functionality improvements aligned with organizational needsResearches and identifies opportunities to improve business processes, system utilization, data quality, and user adoption; implements approved enhancements and governance practicesDevelops and maintains system documentation, standard operating procedures, and user training materialsProvides advanced Salesforce support, troubleshooting, guidance, and training to staff and power usersCoordinates and collaborates with internal stakeholders, departments, and external vendors to support business requirements and system effectivenessPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExtensive hands-on experience administering and supporting the Salesforce platformExperience collaborating with staff, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver technology solutionsExperience supporting integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems such as Map Your Show, Maritz Global Events, Cvent, HubSpot, or similar platformsExperience with reporting, analytics, and data-query tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or comparable technologiesExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into practical system solutionsExperience providing user support, training, testing, documentation, and customer serviceStrong understanding of data quality, data governance, and system administration best practicesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work effectively both independently and collaborativelyEffective verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skillsSpecificationsMinimum Education Required:B.S., in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalentMinimum Experience Required:5+ years of relevant database experience, preferably in a trade association or professional society4+ years of experience with administering the Salesforce platformTravel Required:Up to 5% domestic travelHybrid Work Policy:Teleworker: Employees report onsite regularly with some duties performed at home-based or alternative worksites within the Washington, DC Metropolitan area (DC, MD, VA).
