Job SummaryThe Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the administration, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization’s Salesforce platform. The Administrator also works with the Salesforce Developer to contribute to strategic design. This role combines platform administration, platform strategy, security and governance, and team coordination to ensure Salesforce solutions align with business objectives and remain scalable, secure, reliable, and efficient.This is a full-time hybrid position. Candidate will be required to meet in-person regularly in the Chicagoland area.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlatform Strategy and Technical Leadership:Design, configure, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrated systems.Establish and maintain Salesforce administration, configuration, security, development, and solution design standards to support platform reliability, performance, and scalability.Evaluate Salesforce capabilities, applications, and supporting technologies and recommend solutions based on business and technical requirements.Administer, support, and enhance integrations between Salesforce and platforms such as Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other enterprise systems.Contribute to hands-on Salesforce configuration and development, including Flow, data modeling, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other platform capabilities, with opportunities to expand technical development responsibilities over time.Platform Administration and Technical Collaboration:Provide technical guidance and support to Salesforce development resources and collaborate on solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery.Promote Salesforce platform expertise through documentation, training, knowledge sharing, and ongoing professional development.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Certification, Membership, IT, and other business areas to deliver cohesive Salesforce solutions.Salesforce Administration, Security, and Governance:Perform core Salesforce administration, including user and access management, reporting and dashboards, configuration, data management, and system audits.Administer and monitor Salesforce security, including permissions, access controls, sharing, authentication, and other platform security settings.Monitor platform performance, usage, automation, and integrations and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.Maintain data quality, integrity, and appropriate governance across the Salesforce platform.Prepare for Salesforce seasonal releases by reviewing release notes, assessing organizational impact, testing key functionality in sandbox environments, coordinating required changes, and communicating relevant updates to stakeholders.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).2-5 years’ experience as Salesforce.com administratorSalesforce.com admin certifiedQualifications DesiredProven experience administering and designing solutions on the Salesforce platform, with a strong understanding of platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices.Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions that address complex business requirements.Strong foundation in Salesforce administration, including user management, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing, security, automation, reporting, and data management.Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead meetings, gather requirements, and translate business needs into clear technical solutions.Ability to communicate effectively, lead meetings and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from end users to senior leadership.Experience working in an Agile development environment, including backlog management, sprint planning, testing, release management, and cross-functional collaboration.Ability to balance day-to-day platform support with longer-term platform strategy, governance, and continuous improvement.Experience with sales enablement platforms like Agentforce within Salesforce, Gong, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes, evaluate tradeoffs, and recommend practical, sustainable solutions.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesBroad view of Salesforce ecosystem, middleware (Jitterbit) and how it connects/communicates with all other platforms across the enterprise, knowledge of Gong, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo a plusIntimate knowledge of SFDC best practices and functionality, data management best practicesFamiliarity with AI technologies and agentic platforms, including Salesforce Agentforce, Claude, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, with an interest in applying AI to improve business processes, automation, and user productivity.Commitment to ongoing professional growth, including the pursuit of the Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator II, is encouraged.Ability to assess impact of new requirements on SFDC and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.Be an active team player with a collaborative mindset, participating in scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Experienced in analyzing user stories and delivering effective solutionsStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide technical
