Job summary

Clark Pacific, a leading manufacturer of prefabricated building systems in the Western United States, seeks an Accounting Manager responsible for directing the multi-state sales and use tax function, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk while maximizing exemptions.

You will partner with Accounting, Operations, Procurement, Estimating, Manufacturing and Project Management to provide strategic tax guidance for a hybrid manufacturing and construction business, overseeing the accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of multi-state sales and use tax experience.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial industries preferred.
• Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sales and use tax function, including compliance, reporting, filings, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
• Ensure timely preparation and filing of multi-state sales and use tax returns.
• Maintain exemption certificates, tax registrations, and tax engine configurations.
• Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.
