Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking a Sales Training Manager to design and deliver training programs for our sales team on Diamond Kote and Waudena products. You will lead onboarding, conduct on-site trainings, and build a video curriculum to support ongoing education and field coaching.

The role requires strong communication, public speaking, and organizational skills, with travel and a mix of office and field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in communication or related major is preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge is required.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain onboarding training for new employees.
• Conduct on-site trainings and Diamond Kote/Waudena university sessions.
• Create and maintain a video training library and curriculum for ongoing education.
• Attend sales meetings and support field training and coaching.
• Collaborate with Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Operations on training strategy.

What This Role Will Be Doing

A Wausau Supply Sales Training Manager will take a lead role in developing training programs designed to teach our sales team about manufactured and distributed products, sales process and selling skills in order to grow the sales for Wausau Supply.

Duties To Include (not Limited To)

• Develop and maintain standard onboarding training for new employees
• Full day introduction to Diamond Kote including classroom and tour of facility
• Full day introduction to Waudena including classroom and tour of facility
• Manage and conduct on-site trainings
• Diamond Kote University – a 2-3 day in depth training on Diamond Kote products
• Waudena University – a 2-3 day in depth training on Waudena Entrance Systems
• Manage and maintain on-site training facilities
• Diamond Kote training facility for hands on training and installation of Diamond Kote products
• Waudena training facility for hands in installation, competitive comparison, and warranty training
• Field training
• Field ride along follow up and reinforcement of university trainingField ride along training and evaluation with WCS salespeople
• Attend sales meetings as requested
• Develop and maintain video training library
• Curriculum and video library for new employees
• Curriculum and video library for continuing education

A Sales Training Manager will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

• Communicate with solid verbal and written skills
• Teach and present products in front of groups
• Prioritize tasks and meet communicated goals
• Display professional behavior to all internal and external contacts in conjunction with policies and procedures as outline in the employee handbook
• A positive attitude
• A high level of energy, passion and enthusiasm for training and teaching

Education / Experience

• Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in communication or related major and/or 1-3 years of related sales/sales training experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge base
• Highly developed planning and organizational abilities.

Reports to:

Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Operations

Working Demands / Requirements

• Ability to sit for long periods of time because of the travel aspect of position.
• Spend approximately 50% of the time in the field and 50% in the office
• Overnight travel
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and install Diamond Kote and Waudena products at training sessions.
• Must possess a MVR that qualifies per the auto insurance requirements.
