Job summary

NerdWallet is seeking a Sales Trainer to onboard and coach the sales team, embedding with the sales floor to drive performance and learning. This role emphasizes a Challenger-based, consultative approach and requires collaboration with Sales Leadership, Product, and Operations.

The position is full-time in office based in Scottsdale, AZ with an option for remote work 20% of time after training, and travel approximately twice per quarter.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in sales training, enablement, coaching, or frontline leadership within fast-paced sales orgs
• Proven onboarding of new sales reps and faster productivity ramp
• Experience coaching via live observation, call reviews, role plays, and feedback
• Strong understanding of Challenger, consultative, and transactional sales methods

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding that prepares Account Executives to navigate conversations, learn our process, and hit ramp goals
• Provide ongoing coaching through live call observations, reviews, role plays, and strategy sessions
• Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor to spot coaching needs and give actionable feedback
• Reinforce NerdWallet Small Business Challenger-based and consultative selling throughout the customer journey
• Coach reps on discovery, objections, urgency, lender positioning, financing education, ROI, follow-up and closing
• Become SME on small business financing, lending options, borrower profiles, lender programs, deal positioning
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Business Development, Product, and Operations to stay aligned with priorities
• Analyze coaching metrics to identify skill gaps and design targeted plans
• Create and continuously improve enablement materials like playbooks, talk tracks, and job aids
• Support frontline managers by modeling coaching best practices and consistency
