Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a motivated trainee to develop knowledge across yard operations, production, dispatch, delivery, and inside sales while preparing for an Outside Sales Representative role. You will observe, learn, and perform responsibilities to gain industry knowledge and sales techniques; successful trainees transition to OSR I in 90–180 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field plus 0 - 2 years related industry operations/sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives training and performs progressively responsible duties in yard operations, production, dispatch/scheduling/delivery, and inside sales while learning the outside sales role.
• Accompanies Outside Sales Reps or Sales Manager on customer calls to become familiar with sales and customer service techniques.
• Handles inside sales/counter duties, including answering phone and taking orders.
• Performs Outside Sales responsibilities, including taking orders and making sales calls.
• Sets personal performance goals and participates in sales training programs.
