Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in the Dubuque area offers an 18-month Sales Trainee program designed to develop future leaders in inside sales, account management, quotations, and project coordination. You will rotate through Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations while building communication, time management, and relationship skills with solar customers.

Summary:

We are actively seeking exemplary candidates to join CED’s competitive Sales Training Program. We provide the tools and training for learning the ins and outs of one of the nation’s fastest growing industries. In this approximate 18-month development program, you will be exposed to various roles in each facet of the company, gaining experience in Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Account Management, Inside Sales, Purchasing, Operations and more! The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, exemplifies stellar time management and communication skills, and is excited to be empowered and involved in business goals and initiatives. This role is intended to provide the tools and training to develop into a role in inside sales, account management, quotations, or project management.

Reports to: Location or Division Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Bachelor’s Degree (will consider significant experience in lieu)
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• Reliable transportation to and from work locations

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on the trainee’s current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods. Various segments will include some travel – both by car and by air.
