As the Sales Team Lead - Target at tru fru, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering a deep customer partnership. You will be responsible for developing and executing multi-year strategic plans while ensuring exceptional implementation. Leveraging market insights, you will collaborate across the organization to create mutual value for Target and tru fru. You will manage holistic value including delivering exceptional service and building the tru fru brand through innovative marketing.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading customer partnership, building and executing strategy, accurately forecasting demand and trade expenditure, leading broker partners, driving shopper engagement, and ensuring DCOM acceleration.

What you'll do

  • Own the Target account relationship, serving as the primary point of contact for buyers, broker, and cross-functional partners.
  • Develop comprehensive customer plans aligned with company objectives, identifying key opportunities and challenges, and devising strategic approaches.
  • Translate market trends and insights into actionable plans that drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Create compelling sales stories tailored to key stakeholders, effectively communicating insights and the value proposition of tru fru's products.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure plans are financially viable and operationally sound. Work with Marketing to amplify brands and accelerate DCOM penetration.
  • Forecast demand, trade expenditure, and new product launches.
  • Assess progress against KPIs regularly; motivate and focus broker partners on delivering results.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Category and shopper acumen.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing a customer P&L.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and expand market share.

Pluses

  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
  • Experience managing a Joint Business Plan with Target.
  • Experience with Trade Promotions Systems (TPM/SRM).
