Job summary

Foster McKay is seeking a Tax Compliance Associate in New Jersey to support monthly and quarterly state sales and use tax returns and related accounting entries. You will assist the audit readiness process, prepare store and fixed asset listings, and collaborate with the Ariba team to clear tax exceptions, ensuring accurate filings and timely payments.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and experience with tax compliance workflows in a retail or multi-state

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly state sales and use tax returns which includes filings, payments, prepare journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Assist tax staff in pre-audit preparation for sales and use tax audits including store and fixed asset listings, trial balances.
• Pull relevant sales and expense details for requested test samples.
• Provide invoices chosen for review.
• Assist tax staff in clearing day-to-day Ariba tax exceptions.
