Micro Center is seeking a proactive Sales Tax Associate to audit and verify exemption certificates across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will collaborate with retail stores and other departments to maintain documentation for potential audits.

Reporting to the Tax Manager, the role emphasizes attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and strong organizational skills to support monthly and quarterly tax returns and reporting needs.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required with at least 1+ years of clerical or finance experience.
• Experience with Apptricity or another web-based expense system and business intelligence reporting is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills and proficiency in Excel are a must.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, a professional demeanor and appearance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Sales Tax Associate. This role is responsible for reviewing and auditing sales tax exemption certificates across multiple states to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this individual will collaborate closely with retail stores and other departments throughout the organization to maintain proper documentation to protect the company in the event of a sales tax audit.

• Assist in filing monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
• Generate various reports, including detailed ad hoc reporting as needed by various business units
