Responsibilities

• Support sales team with mating solutions for member accounts.

Job description

Premier Select Sires is seeking a Sales Support Specialist in Pennsylvania reporting to Sean Johnson, Regional Sales Manager. This position will be responsible to provide technical service & sales support to member customers through reproductive based solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support our sales team with timely mating solutions for our member customer accounts as requested
• Plan and execute regular customer visits in coordination with the sales team
• Provide timely responses to all customer inquiries regarding mating solutions and technical services
• Continue follow-up communication with customers found to have mating related issues
• Conduct benchmarking to identify industry trends and opportunities to share with customers and our sales team
• Ensure key sales support staff are trained to support the SMS program with customers and our sales team
• Work with our activity monitoring system – Cow Manager
• Represent Premier Select Sires at events and conferences
• Assist with other responsibilities and duties as required

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture Economics or closely related fields
• Specialization in the areas of artificial insemination and reproductive management is preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish & English a plus
• Extensive knowledge of synchronization protocols is preferred along with a basic understanding of dairy and beef genetics
• Minimum of eight years’ experience in agriculture related fieldsStrong interpersonal & communications skills along with excellent customer service skills to build relationships
• Solid presentation skills required with the ability to earn customer trust and loyalty
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint coupled with the ability to quickly learn related business software
• Working knowledge of PCDART and DairyComp 305
• Regular travel– a minimum of 40%
• Hours may vary and will require evening and some weekend work based on business needs

Compensation:

• Salary plus bonus based on management approval
