Job summary

WGAL-TV is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to support the advertising sales operation in the Harrisburg–Lancaster–Lebanon–York, PA area. You will manage order entry, ensure copy accuracy for local and national campaigns, and coordinate with Ad Ops and digital teams to keep campaigns on track.

You will analyze data to craft compelling stories that showcase the effectiveness of our media platforms, while meeting deadlines and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Experience juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new systems.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Broadcast TV copy/traffic experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain advertising orders with WideOrbit workflows.
• Provide copy instructions and QC for local/national creative to meet FCC and Hearst standards before air.
• Review and finalize daily commercial logs; coordinate with Management and Master Control.
• Collaborate with Digital Client Specialist to assign copy for digital campaigns, assist with digital order entry, track pacing, and produce month-end reports.
• Use research tools to analyze data and develop stories illustrating the marketing power of our media platforms.
• Meet deadlines, keep stakeholders aligned, and communicate with Ad Ops.
• Maintain copy instruction files and manage monthly materials purge.
• Develop sales proposals and presentations for Account Executives.
• Deliver high-touch service to managers, teammates, and clients.

What you’ll do:

• Own flawless entry and maintenance of advertising orders, including WideOrbit (WO) workflows
• Assign copy instructions and provide quality control for local/national creative to meet FCC and Hearst standards before it airs
• Review and finalize daily commercial logs for broadcast television; coordinate manual changes with Management and Master Control
• Work closely with Digital Client Specialist to assign copy for digital video campaigns, assist with digital order entry and confirmation, track campaign pacing, and produce month-end delivery reports.
• Use available research tools to analyze data and develop compelling stories that reinforce the marketing power of our media platforms.
• Adhere to deadlines, keep stakeholders in sync, and communicate closely with Ad Ops (Charlotte, NC)
• Keep pristine copy instruction files and manage the monthly materials purge
• Develop sales proposals and presentations for Account Executives.
• Deliver white‑glove service to managers, teammates, and clients
